Leveraging Data-Driven Insights for Enhanced Reporting at ESO

The Challenge

ESO, a leading provider of software solutions for emergency medical services (EMS), fire departments, hospitals, and government agencies, was built on the belief in the power of data to improve health and safety. As their digital marketing investments grew, so did their need for sophisticated performance tracking and reporting capabilities.


The challenge was multi-faceted:

  • Various teams required website data for different purposes (campaign attribution, website performance, UX/CRO)

  • Data was siloed across multiple platforms, making comprehensive analysis difficult

  • Manual reporting processes were time-consuming and inefficient

The Partnership Approach

Instead of delivering an off-the-shelf solution, the FTF team conducted in-depth discovery sessions with ESO to understand:

  • Each department's unique data needs and reporting challenges

  • Their existing workflow bottlenecks and manual processes

  • Key performance indicators that aligned with business objectives

 

This collaborative foundation allowed us to design a solution that addressed not just the symptoms but the root causes of their data fragmentation and reporting pain points.

The Solution

Based on our findings, we developed a custom Looker Studio dashboard that serves as a central analytics hub—a single source of truth for ESO's digital performance. The dashboard aggregates data from various digital marketing channels, offering a comprehensive view that includes:

 

  • Unified Performance Analysis: By integrating paid media and organic search data into one interface, the dashboard provides holistic insights into ESO's digital initiatives.

  • Paid Media Intelligence: Visualizing key performance indicators such as CPC, CTR, and conversion rates allows ESO to evaluate advertising effectiveness across platforms.

  • Organic Search Performance: Detailed reporting on keyword rankings, traffic trends, and engagement metrics helps identify content opportunities and SEO improvements.

  • User Behavior Insights: Metrics like session duration, bounce rates, and pageviews reveal how users interact across various key events within the website, highlighting both strengths and areas for optimization.

  • Audience Segmentation Capabilities: The ability to filter data by demographics and behavior enables ESO to tailor marketing strategies to different customer segments.

  • ROI Measurement: Real-time tracking of marketing investment returns links ad spend directly to business outcomes, facilitating smarter resource allocation.

The Results

This fully automated, cross-channel dashboard transformed ESO's approach to digital marketing:

  • Efficiency Gains: Marketing teams reclaimed hours previously spent on manual reporting, redirecting that time toward strategic initiatives.
